Bring a Group: Schools Info
Jamie’s Farm’s blend of family, farming and therapy is particularly beneficial for vulnerable children aged 8 – 18 who are referred to improve:
- Nurture; as self-esteem effects children’s ability to make the most of their education
- Aspiration; demonstrated through raised attainment and attendance
- Positive behaviour; necessary for children to learn effectively
Improvements in these areas promotes engagement with school, as our impact and case studies section demonstrates.
School groups usually consist of up to 10 children and 3 members of staff from the school who staff from Monday to Friday. Small groups live and work on site, supported by our experienced staff who focus activities on positive, tangible outcomes. As a result of the Jamie’s Farm experience, children demonstrate improved self-esteem, behaviour and aspiration. On return to school, visits are followed up with group sessions to transfer the experience to children's everyday lives at home and school.
