Volunteers are extremely valuable in all that we do, and enable us to keep transforming the lives of vulnerable young people across the UK. Meet out current regular volunteers here.
We have a number of ways you can volunteer with us:
At our events throughout the year, such as Cock & Bull Festival, Open Days etc. A fun way to informally meet the team and get involved;
“I loved my time on Jamie's farm and think that all the activities I took part in or observed were really valuable for the young people in the school group. As a volunteer I felt included from the outset and could not have asked for more support, guidance or welcome!”
For a one-off week as a residential visit volunteer; getting involved in all the activities with the young people as well as helping with washing up, keeping the place tidy, going on our daily walks etc. Great CPD for education professionals and a way to experience our programme methodology in depth. Please see the role description here.
“I genuinely think you guys are doing a near perfect job, and I found my week with you extremely valuable (so much so that I decided to pursue a new career in teaching!)”
We occasionally have regular volunteer roles working alongside young people, such as in the garden, kitchen or with horses, or in the office. Click here for current volunteer vacancies and sign up to our newsletter to hear if any roles become available at either our Wiltshire or Herefordshire sites.
“As a Head of Year I use the knowledge that I gained from volunteering at Jamie's Farm when conversing with young students as well as listening to what they have to say. This is very useful when doing restorative justice.”
We are always looking out for volunteers with creative and interesting skills that can complement our busy schedule, such as carpentry, hedge laying, mosaicing etc. Please do get in touch if this is you!
We look forward to hearing from you.
